frostbite in a chrysalis

she mindlessly presses her sneaker against my thigh.

i quietly want her to step on my face

when the wetness between my thighs floats from my underwear to her cheek

i turn around

waiting for her

in the fluorescence of this campus

lives hundreds of crickets

had a taste of sunlight

then they were gone

then I stayed
